The DCD employs an Irrigation Water Management Specialist to assist landowners with irrigation, soil health, soil moisture monitoring, flow measurement, etc. You can contact our IWM specialists with questions or to schedule a site visit HERE
News Release: Delta Conservation District (DCD) has received a USDA Rural Business Development Revolving Loan Fund Grant (RLF) in the amount of $50,000. DCD will use these funds to assist small agricultural businesses in the Delta County area with business operating loans. Loan requirements will be: 1) The business must use the funds to create or maintain at least one job within their business; 2) The business may only use the funds as defined in the RLF Plan*; 3) The business must show financials that support repayment of the loan; 4) Priority will be given to new and young farmers; 5) Application procedures will be as stated in the RLF Plan*. These loan funds may be used for agricultural business start-up costs and working capital, technical assistance for private business enterprises, advertising/ marketing, purchase of machinery, equipment, repairs and modernization of buildings and energy efficiency.
These loans will be offered at a very competitive interest rate.
